This policy describes what information Clip Tagger collects, how it is used, and how long it is kept.

What's collected

Account information: your email address, and if you choose to add them, your first and last name and shooter initials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google — nothing else.

Workspace activity: which naming conventions, rosters, and settings your workspace uses; gear checkout records including timestamps and, if your workspace requires it, an optional photo and a location check at check-in.

What we don't collect: the actual video files you rename never leave your machine — renaming happens locally in your browser or the desktop app. We don't read their contents, upload them, or know what's in them.

Gear checkout photos

If a workspace turns on photo requirements, checkout and check-in photos are stored privately and automatically deleted after 7 days. They're not used for anything beyond that window, and nobody outside your workspace can see them.

Location, if your workspace uses it

Some workspaces can turn on a location check for gear check-in — a soft accountability measure, not a hard guarantee, since browser location can be imprecise or spoofed. When this is on, your device's location is checked at the moment of check-in against a distance your admin set; the coordinates aren't stored or logged anywhere, only the pass/fail result. This only ever runs when you're actively checking gear in — never in the background, never without your browser's own location permission prompt.

Who can see what

People in your workspace can see your name and initials on tagging and checkout records, the same way they'd see it on a paper sign-out sheet. Workspace admins can see everyone's activity within that workspace. Nobody outside your workspace — including us — routinely looks at your data; we access it only to fix a bug you've reported or in response to a request you make.

Where it's stored

Account and workspace data is stored with Supabase. Sign-in emails and gear notifications are sent through Resend. Neither is used for anything beyond making the app work — no analytics resale, no advertising, no data brokers.

Your choices

• Add or remove your name and initials any time in Settings.
• Disconnect Google sign-in once you have another way in, from the same place.
• Ask a workspace admin to remove your account, which removes your membership and profile data from that workspace.

Changes

If this changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything significant, note it on the What's new page.
