NewIngest — the card, straight to the folder

For whoever is handed the SD card. In the desktop app, ··· → Ingest from a card. Pick the card and it looks through the camera's own folders for you — DCIM, PRIVATE/M4ROOT/CLIP, wherever they ended up.
It knows which ones are worth copying. Match a Quick Log session and every clip on the card shows the rating the shooter gave it while shooting. Filter to Excellent, select all, filter to Great, select all, copy — and leave the other 200 GB on the card.
Look before you copy. MP4 and MOV play right there, streamed off the card, so a two-hour clip doesn't have to be copied to be checked. MXF and the rest open in your system player.
Verified by default. Every file is read back off the destination and compared against what came off the card. A file that doesn't match is discarded rather than kept — the card still has it, so you can try again. Switch it off if you're in a hurry and the card isn't the only copy.
Clips keep their original names and their shot times; renaming stays the tagger's job. Offloading the same card twice skips what's already there instead of leaving you two of everything, and nothing is ever overwritten.
When it's done: Reveal in Finder, or Open in the tagger — which opens the folder you just filled, in the naming queue, without making you find it again.
This one needs the desktop app updated, not just a refresh — copying off a card needs access a web page isn't given. Until it is, Ingest says so rather than half-working.

FixedRatings you can take back off

One clip: hover it in the queue and its rating pill grows an ×. Click it and that rating goes — clicking the × doesn't jump you to the clip.
A run of them: select the clips (shift-click for a range, ⌘/Ctrl-click for strays) and use Remove N Quick Log ratings in the bulk panel. It only appears when the selection actually has some.
The whole folder: ··· → Clear N Quick Log ratings, which shows up only when there are ratings to clear.
All three offer an undo in the status line for a few seconds. Only the coloured pills go — names the import filled in stay exactly as they are, since by then you may have edited them.
Fixed: a clip could end up wearing a whole row of identical pills. The background AI scan repaints the queue badges on every pass, and it was clearing the AI ones but not the Quick Log one, so a fresh copy stacked up every tick.

NewQuick Log, on your phone

Note the good clips while you shoot. A clip number, a rating, and who was in it. It installs to your home screen as its own app, separate from Gear Checkout, and appears on phones only. Ask an admin to switch it on under Admin → Quick Log.
Built to be used without looking. The keypad is most of the screen, so a number is found by position rather than by reading it. Then swipe the keypad to rate — down OK, left Good, right Great, up Excellent — from anywhere on it, from any key. The directions are printed on the four rating buttons; tap them until the gesture is in your thumb.
Two fingers do the rest, in the same four directions: right skips forward a clip, left goes back, down undoes the last thing, and up notes who's in this one — the player keypad on its own, without rating the clip and without moving off it. You see the number, you note it, and you decide how good the clip was afterwards. The clip reads “2 players noted” until you rate it, and rating it keeps them.
Hold the 5 and eight actions appear in a ring around your thumb. The four compass points are the same four a two-finger swipe does — up Player, right Skip, left Back, down Undo — so finding the ring shows you the gesture that replaces it. The diagonals are the rest: +5, previous logged, clear, and the clip log. Slide onto one and let go, or let go and tap — you don't have to land on a circle, it goes by direction, and a quiet tick as you cross onto each one means you can feel your way round without watching. Slide back to the middle and letting go does nothing.
The clip log is one tap. The count beside ··· in the top bar, or the big clip number itself. Filter it by rating — All, Excellent, Great, Good, OK, and “Players only” — or type a number to find one: 14 brings up 0142, 0143 and 0144.
You can tell what happened at a glance. A short tone, pitched by rating, so the four are tellable apart with the phone already back at your eye — and that rating's colour is dragged across the screen in the direction you swiped, with the rating and the clip named in the middle. Turn the tone off under ··· → Confirmation sound.
Link a roster and it tells you whose number you just tapped, before you commit. It's kept on the phone, so it still works in a building with no signal — as is everything else; taps are saved locally and synced when there's a connection.
In the tagger, ··· → Import from Quick Log matches a session's clip numbers against the camera filenames in the open folder. It shows you the whole match first and never renames anything: players land in the naming fields as drafts, ratings show as coloured pills in the queue.
Clip numbers are always four digits — 1 reads as 0001, on the phone, in the clip log, in the CSV and in the tagger's import review, so it matches what's on the card.
The counter rolls over at 9999, the way the camera does — rating 9999 puts you back on 0001, and stepping past either end wraps. If a single session runs the whole way round, logging a number it already has replaces the earlier one, so it's worth starting a fresh session at the rollover.
Sessions are deleted 72 hours after anyone last adds to one.

NewNothing you type gets lost

Move between clips freely. Stepping to another clip — ↑ / ↓, the new ↑ ↓ buttons next to Rename & next, ⌥← / ⌥→, or just clicking one in the queue — no longer throws away what you'd filled in. Every clip keeps its own player, description, grade and period until you write it, so you can fill in a run of them and come back.
Save & write all names to folder. A button under Rename & next that renames every clip you've filled in, in one go, and says how many are ready before you press it. Clips still missing something are left alone, and if two would end up with the same filename nothing is renamed at all.
It survives a closed tab. Your progress on a folder is kept on this computer — reopen the same folder and the part-filled clips are exactly as you left them.
Undo brings the words back too, not just the old filename, so fixing a typo means changing one field instead of retyping the lot.

FixedPicking several players actually adds them

With "more than one player on a clip" turned on, choosing a player now adds them — from the dropdown, from the list that appears when two players share a number, or just by typing a name and moving on. The + add player button is still there, but nothing depends on remembering to press it.
The roster is a multi-select. Tap player after player and each one joins the clip and stays lit; tap a lit one to take them off again. It used to overwrite the two boxes, so tapping a second player quietly replaced the first. Same in the three-pane player grid and the flat roster list.
A name left sitting in the box when you rename or step away used to drop out of the filename silently. It doesn't any more.

NewOffline mode — tag on a plane

Settings → Offline mode. Turn it on and Clip Tagger keeps a copy of itself and of your workspace's naming convention, roster and schedule, so with no connection it still opens, names files your way, and renames them on disk.
The panel tells you exactly what's stored and how much space it's using — about 2 MB for the app, a few KB for the workspace, and 44 MB more only if you choose to keep the AI models. No footage is ever copied. Turning it off deletes all of it.
A bar across the top tells you when you're working from the saved copy, and when you're back.
Things that need the server — the admin panel, gear checkout, switching workspace — wait until you're back.

FixedSchedule import gets the whole schedule

Most athletics sites now build their schedule page in the browser, so the page we were given had no games in it at all. The importer now asks the site for the schedule itself — the Gophers volleyball page went from nothing to all 31 games.
Where the page does carry its games, everything it can read is now combined instead of keeping just one reading of it, so partial imports should stop.
The review table shows the tournament, the start time, and marks exhibitions and anything already on your schedule.

NewGame numbers on the schedule

Every fixture can now carry a game number. Number by date in the admin panel fills them in for the season, and you can type over any of them.
In the tagger, open a folder shot on a game day and the Game number and name fill themselves in from the schedule.
The Game name field is now a dropdown of your schedule — pick the game and its number comes with it.
Exhibitions get EXB instead of a number, so the opener is still game 1. You can mark one yourself by typing EXB over the number.
Neither one ever overwrites something you typed.

NewClear out flag shots in one go

When the AI check finds flag shots — the hand over the lens, the ceiling — a Review flag shots button appears under the clip search. It shows a picture of each one so you can see what you're deleting.
Tick the ones you don't want and delete them together. The takes they mark are never in that list and are never touched.
The AI Flag stays on the take even after its flag shot is gone — including next time you open the folder.
A flag shot you've already tagged is shown but never ticked for you.
Deleting needs a folder opened in Chrome or Edge (or the local helper). Otherwise you can still look through them.

NewPick AI suggestions with a number key

Each suggested player in the AI Clip Sight panel now has a number in its corner. Press 1–9 to pick that player — no reaching for the mouse.
Right after a clip loads you're already typing in the card, so hold ⌥⇧ with the number and it picks without putting a digit in what you're writing.
On a convention that allows several players per clip, each key press adds another one.

FixedKeyboard shortcuts list opens again

Keyboard shortcuts in the ⋯ menu did nothing in the three-panel layout. It opens properly now.
The viewer's own help (the Keys button under the video) now has a link straight to the full list.

NewFull game names in filenames

Your admin can now have the whole game name go in the filename instead of the first three letters — 12 PURDUE rather than 12 PUR, and 12 OHIO STATE rather than 12 OHI.
It's a tick box on each naming convention in the Naming tab, so basketball and hockey can do it differently. Off by default, and clips you've already renamed are untouched.

NewPause AI, blue ✦ on checked clips, names in paused frames

Pause AI under the clip search (and in the AI Clip Sight panel) stops AI Flag and AI Clip Sight until you press Resume. It stays paused if you reload.
Clips AI Clip Sight has finished now get a blue ✦ in the list — with a number when it identified players. Hover to see who.
Pause on a frame and it now reads everything in it: names on the backs of jerseys, graphics and captions, as well as numbers. A name can tell apart two players who share a number.

Experimental✦ AI Clip Sight

A new AI Clip Sight tab next to Color and Info suggests who's in the clip. It reads jersey numbers in the background and matches them to your roster — click a player's tile to fill in the name.
Pause on a player and that frame gets read too. Numbers that aren't on your roster show up underneath.
Built to stay out of the way: it waits while you scrub and eases off if playback would stutter, so the viewer stays smooth.
Turn on Enable experimental features in Settings. Runs on your computer; nothing is uploaded. The first time it downloads its model files once.

Experimental✦ AI Flag

Turn on Enable experimental features in Settings. After a good take, shoot a quick clip of the ceiling or your hand over the lens — Clip Tagger spots those in the background and puts an AI Flag next to the take before it.
The switch is saved to your account, so it's on wherever you sign in — and anyone else using the same computer keeps their own setting.
Much better at spotting a hand over the lens — including the bright, orange glow of light leaking round your fingers, vertical clips, and grainy footage. Open a clip's details to see what the check found.
Runs entirely on your computer from a few small frames per clip. Nothing is uploaded, and a folder you've opened before isn't checked again.

NewSmoother scrubbing, tidier panels

Drag the playhead and you see the frames as you go — even on 4K FX6 footage and fast drags, instead of the picture freezing until you let go.
Players, Clips and Bookmarked share the left panel evenly, and the handle between them resizes each one. Double-click a handle to even them out again; your sizes are remembered.
Cleaner section headers with proper expand arrows and centred counts.

FixedShooter initials stay put

Initials you type on the tagging card now save to your account, just like in Settings — they're still there after a reload or on another computer.
Initials are two or three letters, and only what you typed. Anything else stored from before is cleared, and you'll be asked once.
Fixed for good: Chrome's saved-password autofill was dropping part of your sign-in email into the initials box (that's where ADE came from). Autofill can't touch initials or names any more — if yours are wrong, type them once more and they'll stick.

NewMXF plays in the browser

FX6, FX9 and other XAVC MXF clips play right in the preview, full resolution and full length, the moment you land on them — no "Build a preview" button, no waiting.
Scrubbing, frame stepping, looping, the LUT preview and the popout player all work on MXF the same as on MP4.
ProRes, XDCAM MPEG-2 and DNxHD clips convert in the background on their own and start playing as soon as the first few seconds are ready.

An installable Mac app with real Finder access — no separate helper needed, and it plays formats like FX6 footage in your Mac's own player when the browser can't.
Sign in with Google, if your school allows it — one tap, no password.
A welcome screen the first time you sign in, asking for your name and shooter initials up front instead of you having to find Settings on your own.

Optional photos on checkout and check-in — one photo per checkout, not one per item, and it's gone automatically after 7 days.
Click any entry in the gear log to see the full checkout — dates, items, notes, and photos together.
The gear log updates live now — no refreshing to see what someone else just checked out.
Install the gear suite to your phone's home screen like a real app.
Overdue reminders, sent automatically to whoever's actually holding the gear — not just a note to the admin.

A sport can have more than one naming convention now — Practice vs. Games, say — picked once when you load a roster.
Preview footage through your own color LUT while tagging, on or off with one click.
Delete a clip straight from the tagger, with a confirmation first.
Hide rosters you never use, or set your own default roster, separate from the workspace default.
Roster player names and numbers can be edited directly in the admin panel now.
